Terms of sale

Last updated 22 October 2026

The short version: you are buying recorded courses to stream, for yourself, for 18 months. At checkout you ask for access to start straight away, so once access starts you can no longer cancel for a change of mind. If a course is faulty or not as described, the law still protects you, and we will put it right.

1 Who you are contracting with

This website and the courses on it are sold by THE MOONSHOT MASTERY ACADEMY LTD, a private limited company with company number 15861511, registered at Companies House, England and Wales and incorporated on 27 July 2024. Our registered office is 3 Fistral Mews, 48 Tower Road, Newquay, Cornwall, TR7 1LU, and you can email us at hello@moonshotmasteryacademy.co.uk.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company, and “you” means the person placing the order. A contract between us is made when your payment is accepted on the secure payment page and you reach your order page. These terms and the contract are in English.

2 What you are buying

A course is a set of recorded video lessons on amateur astronomy or astrophotography, streamed online. A route is several courses sold together in a suggested order for one price. Each course and route page lists its units, lessons and running time; that description is part of our contract.

Courses are streamed only. They do not include a live tutor, marking of or feedback on your work, downloadable copies of the lessons, a certificate, a qualification or any accreditation. We sell courses only, not equipment.

We email your access details to the address you gave at checkout within one working day of payment. If nothing has arrived by then, check your spam folder and then contact us (section 11). Access to each course lasts 18 months from the day we send those details, and then ends. You need a current web browser and an internet connection good enough for video.

3 Your licence to watch

Buying a course gives one person a personal, non-transferable licence to watch it for their own learning during the access period. That person is you, unless you tell us before access begins that you are buying for someone else. The lessons, recordings and the design of this site remain ours or our licensors’.

You must not share your access or sign-in details, let anyone else watch with them, record, download or screen-capture lessons, pass them on, or use them to teach others. If we reasonably believe this is happening, we may suspend access; we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

4 Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the final prices you pay: nothing is added at checkout and there are no delivery charges. If a price is obviously wrong because of an error, we will tell you before access starts, and you can pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Payment is taken on a secure page run by our payment service provider, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale. On our checkout form you give your name, email address and billing address; we pass them to the payment service provider so its page only needs your card or wallet. We never see or store your full card details.

The payment page may offer to show and charge the price in your local currency. If you accept, the payment service provider converts it at its own rate, which includes a conversion fee shown to you before you pay. You can decline and pay in GBP instead. Your card issuer may make its own charges for foreign-currency payments.

5 Your right to cancel

If you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 usually give you 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content, such as a streamed course, starting the day after the contract is made.

For digital content that right ends once supply has begun, if you expressly asked for supply to begin during the 14 days and acknowledged that you would lose the right. Our checkout asks for both, in this box, which must be ticked before you can pay:

“I want access to start straight away. I understand that once access starts I lose my 14-day right to cancel, and I accept the Terms.”

Access starts when we send your access details. Before access starts, the 14-day right to cancel applies in full: email us at hello@moonshotmasteryacademy.co.uk with your order reference and a clear statement that you wish to cancel, and we will refund the full price within 14 days, to the payment method you used, without any fee. Once access has started, you can no longer cancel for a change of mind.

Losing the right to cancel does not affect your rights if a course is faulty or not as described (section 6).

6 If something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any particular purpose you told us about. If a course is not, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced at no cost, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. If that is impossible, or is not done in a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience, you are entitled to a price reduction, which may be up to a full refund.

If you have paid and we cannot give you access at all, we will refund the full price. If content we supply damages your device or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you.

To report a problem, contact us with your order reference and a short description. Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) can tell you more about your rights. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

7 Weather, light pollution and safety

Whether you can see or photograph a target on a given night depends on cloud, the Moon, the steadiness of the air, local lighting and your equipment. None of that is in our control. The courses show what can be done from an ordinary suburban sky, but we do not promise any particular view or image on any particular night, and poor weather or light pollution is not a fault in a course.

Observing happens outdoors, in the dark. Choose safe places, take care near cliffs, water and roads, and tell someone where you are going. Never point binoculars, a telescope or a camera at the Sun without a proper solar filter made for that instrument.

8 Changes to courses

We may correct, update or re-record lessons, for example to fix a mistake or replace software that has changed, as long as the course still matches its description in substance. We will not remove a course you have bought during your access period unless we have to for legal or security reasons; if that happens, we will refund the price for the months of access you have not had.

9 Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it would happen, or if both of us knew it might when the contract was made. We supply courses for private learning, so we are not liable for loss of profit, business or business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10 Buying as a business

If you buy for your trade, business or profession, you are not a consumer, so sections 5 and 6 do not apply to you. Our total liability to a business buyer for an order is limited to the price paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. The rest of these terms applies in the same way.

11 Questions and complaints

Write to us in the chat on any page, where a person answers, or email hello@moonshotmasteryacademy.co.uk, with your order reference if you have one. We will reply, usually the same day in UK office hours, and tell you how we propose to resolve the matter. Our postal address is the registered office in section 1. If we cannot settle a complaint between us, Citizens Advice can give free, independent advice.

12 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it, unless a change is required by law, in which case we will tell you before it takes effect where we can.

13 Governing law

These terms and any contract under them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
